who says you have to grow up?

Well, the cloudy skies have not dissipated, but I tried my best to get a decent picture of my dolly… here he is!
I’m really pleased with how he turned out. Corduroy pants, cotton shirt, lycra face and fleece hair. He’s got simple button eyes and his mouth is just painted. The variety of fabrics led to a bit of difficulty, since they are completely varying in stretch, but it all worked out. I’m sending him out in the mail on Friday to Craft Hope so he can be sent off to an orphan in Nicaragua who might even love him more than I do. I’m glad I had this chance to make something with love to send to someone who needs as much love as he can get. :)

I really like your doll! It’s a wonderful idea to send him to an orphan in another country. I’m sure the recipient will really love him. :)

Sam, my daughter asked me to make her a dolly this morning, I’ve used your pattern, and Alice loves her. She has named her Sleeping Beauty. Thankyou so much for sharing your pattern, I will be making these throughout the year in preparation for Christmas.
