dolly is here!

silliness, giggles,
who says you have to grow up?
don’t lose the laughter.

Well, the cloudy skies have not dissipated, but I tried my best to get a decent picture of my dolly… here he is!

Boy Doll

I’m really pleased with how he turned out. Corduroy pants, cotton shirt, lycra face and fleece hair. He’s got simple button eyes and his mouth is just painted. The variety of fabrics led to a bit of difficulty, since they are completely varying in stretch, but it all worked out. I’m sending him out in the mail on Friday to Craft Hope so he can be sent off to an orphan in Nicaragua who might even love him more than I do. I’m glad I had this chance to make something with love to send to someone who needs as much love as he can get. :)

And, guess what! I’m offering the pattern up for free download… Download the Dolly Pattern here!

Sam, my daughter asked me to make her a dolly this morning, I’ve used your pattern, and Alice loves her. She has named her Sleeping Beauty. Thankyou so much for sharing your pattern, I will be making these throughout the year in preparation for Christmas.

    Cheers, Hannah x

So glad to hear it! That was my intention behind this dolly… simple but very easy to accessorize with little outfits. I’d love to see pictures when you’re done!
