Well, Christmas has been over three days.. but the spirit of the season is certainly still around. Everyone is happier, there are more smiles everywhere… I really do love Christmas.
For Christmas, I made my brother a stuffed “goomba”. They’re the little brown mushroom guys from Mario that can be jumped on and squished, or punched/kicked and they go flying. I forgot to take a picture of him before I wrapped him, and now Ben has him with him at all times so I still haven’t gotten one. However, this is his digital likeness, and I’ll have a real photo by the next post.
It was definitely the best part of my Christmas, because Ben loved it.. a 15 year old enjoying a stuffed toy, handmade, is pretty rare and exciting, so I must’ve done a good job. Neither he nor my dad could tell that I made it. It was really fun.
For Christmas, I received plenty of wonderful gifts from my siblings, Santa, and my parents. One of the cutest things I received is this Hello Kitty tray, from Ben. I also got Superman Returns on DVD, which I must say is amazing. I saw it over the summer in IMAX, which was just incredible. It is definitely worth seeing, and buying. I also got a pink rotary cutter, a vintage fabric book, new luggage (pink and brown :)), plenty of clothes, some fabric, and lots of other little goodies.
As far as site news goes, I have added this blog to Technorati, so be sure to add it to your favorites! I also made a new About Me page, which has been missing for quite some time. I’ve also asked to be added back to the Quilting Bee after a hiatus of.. I’m not even sure how long it’s been.. so let’s hope they take me back!
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and are enjoying your post-Christmas shopping! I’m heading to Jo-Ann’s tomorrow to check out their sales.. as if I didn’t get enough for Christmas!

I can’t wait to see pictures of the goomba! I’m sure it’s adorable. :)
That tray is cute. Kudos to Ben.
That’s awesome that you make stuffed animals! I have a friend who does, and she made me a cute yellow donkey in exchange for buying the supplies. I worked at the arts & crafts megastore Hobby Lobby at the time, so I got to use my discount and everything, hee hee! (= Hope you’re having a wonderful new year!
